About Our Client

Our client offers a contemporary alternative to traditional funerals with the mission of simplifying people’s choices on the delicate subject of end-of-life.
Their service is designed for people who wish to plan, choose, and organise their own arrangements ahead of time, helping to ease both the emotional and financial burden on their loved ones.

Their core product is based on the simplicity of direct cremation services without a traditional funeral ceremony. It is an essential but respectful way for people to freely choose how they want to say goodbye.

Our client operates through a remote sales model, generating leads via traditional channels (mainly TV), leveraging digital channels to capture interest, and converting through phone consultations (no face-to-face sales).

Since launching in January 2025, the company has grown rapidly, expanding fourfold between May and August. It is part of a wider pan-European expansion project, led by founders with deep expertise in the funeral, financial, and real estate industries, as well as successful experience scaling a leading UK-based funeral plan provider.

With ambitious growth goals, we are seeking a Marketing Manager to accelerate our clients expansion in the Netherlands.

Job Description

  • Manage and optimise daily lead generation.
  • Oversee external agencies and suppliers, ensuring strong performance and accountability.
  • Maximise value from campaigns across TV, Google, and Meta, while testing new channels such as Direct Mail.
  • Manage Cost Per Lead (CPL) through smart targeting, responsive creative, relevant content, and data-driven optimisation.
  • Develop and manage lead generation campaigns across TV, paid search, paid social, and direct mail.
  • Manage and develop the website with a focus on maximising conversion, optimising customer journeys, and delivering excellent customer experiences.
  • Analyse results and continuously optimise campaigns, channels, and the website.
  • Contribute to overall commercial growth together with the wider team.
The Successful Applicant
  • 4-6 years of marketing experience, including performance marketing, ideally within a high-growth start-up, scale-up, or digital environment.
  • Data-driven, analytical, and hands-on.
  • Entrepreneurial and independent, thriving in a growth-focused, fast-moving environment.
  • Strong project management skills paired with a commercial mindset.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and resilience in challenging situations.
  • Exceptional customer focus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English.
  • Available full-time (40 hours per week).
  • Experience in the end-of-life industry is not required.
