Job Description
  • Develop and implement tailored account strategies to achieve targets for sales, margin, distribution, and market share
  • Build, manage, and expand long-term relationships with key accounts, while identifying and securing new business opportunities
  • Analyze customer needs, retail trends, and competitor activity to uncover growth opportunities and inform strategic decisions
  • Create and execute annual account plans, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives and efficient use of resources
  • Monitor account performance against agreed targets, report on progress, and take proactive corrective actions where necessary
  • Lead and coordinate account-specific promotions, product launches, and in-store or marketing activities
  • Present performance updates, plans, and new initiatives to customers in regular business reviews
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., marketing, supply chain) to ensure accurate forecasting, planning, and execution
  • Provide input for demand planning and ensure timely, accurate sales forecasts
  • Participate in cross-functional projects or task forces to support broader business goals
The Successful Applicant
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
  • Minimum 5 years of FMCG sales or account management experience
  • Strong background working with DIY retailers, garden centres, or specialist distributors within home improvement or outdoor products
  • Proven ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships
  • Commercially driven with a strong focus on delivering sales growth and targets
  • Skilled in analyzing market and customer data to identify opportunities
  • Confident in developing and executing account plans and sales strategies
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
