Job Description
  • Manage and strengthen long-term relationships with existing customers.
  • Ensure continuous follow-up on agreed service levels, pricing, and product delivery, in line with quality and safety standards.
  • Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities, including application expansion and sustainability-related projects.
  • Maintain close, constructive relationships with customers and proactively develop new leads.
  • Perform technical activities and assessments, using a hands-on approach.
  • Provide clear verbal and written technical recommendations to support reliable and efficient customer operations.
  • Propose optimal, sustainable solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal departments to ensure coordinated, high-quality customer support.
  • Act as a committed team player, participating in meetings, training sessions, and knowledge sharing.
  • Plan and manage your own schedule independently while balancing customer priorities and internal tasks.
  • Remain flexible and responsive, adjusting plans when urgent priorities arise.
  • Build and maintain a strong professional network both internally and externally.
  • Promote and uphold safety, integrity, and compliance in all activities.
  • Report on activities, performance, and opportunities to regional management.
The Successful Applicant
  • Hands-on mentality combined with solid technical expertise.
  • Strong customer-oriented mindset, with the ability to translate commercial strategy into practical actions.
  • Results-driven attitude, motivated by achieving business goals and objectives.
  • Analytical skills with initial experience in financial or commercial follow-up.
  • Ability and desire to work independently and autonomously.
  • Socially adaptable, comfortable operating in changing customer environments.
  • Preference for a dynamic, non-routine workday rather than a fixed 9-to-5 structure.
  • Structured working style with accurate reporting skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and willingness to think creatively within quality and safety constraints.
  • Eagerness to learn, grow, and step outside your comfort zone.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or Applied Sciences; a chemical background is required.
  • Experience in commercial roles, key account management, or industrial environments is an advantage.
  • Fluency in both Dutch and English, spoken and written.
