Job Description
As a Commercial Manager, you will be part of the national management team and play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the organisation. Your primary focus will be on maintaining and strengthening client relationships, generating new business opportunities, and increasing brand awareness for our soil remediation and water treatment services.
You will act as the first point of contact for clients in sectors such as petrochemicals, renewable energy, construction, and other industries. Your ability to translate our technical expertise and service portfolio into client solutions will be essential. Knowledge of the soil market is a plus, as it enables optimal acquisition and processing of soil streams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Represent the organisation as a knowledge leader in a niche market.
- Conduct regular client visits to stay informed about market trends and customer needs.
- Collaborate with other commercial managers to expand the European network and drive business growth.
- Translate market opportunities and risks into actionable strategies.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field such as commercial studies, technical disciplines, civil engineering, or business administration.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
- 3-5 years of experience in commercial and strategic roles within technical environments (e.g., petrochemicals, construction, or related industries).
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to operate successfully within an international network.
- Hands-on mentality and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory requirements in complex environments.
