Job Description

Your mission
As the Sales Manager you will be responsible for building the business in a sustainable way with the national accounts & department stores for the Benelux. Within your role you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a collaborative relationship contributing and driving category growth. Next to this your will be managing, guiding & developing a team of 3 FTE’s.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Define a retailer/client strategy aligned with the commercial direction
  • Lead annual negotiations in close collaboration with the other stockholders of the account
  • Monitor the performance of the retailer account & manage commercial agreements, contracts
  • Prepare and lead the retailer’s launch & business meetings
  • Deep understanding of sell-in/ sell-out results and commercial needs / opportunities from the clients to be transferred in a solid action plan driving growth
  • Direct account management of department store & key retailers
  • Managing 3 direct reports
The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate has

  • An academic/bachelor degree; Business Administration, Business and Management, Marketing Management.
  • +/- 8 years working experience in a similar role & proven track-record in team management, transition management & leadership in set-up new ways of working
  • Strong management skills: excels in forward thinking and strategic thinking, mentoring, organization & delegation
  • Strong commercial sense, entrepreneurial and ability to develop sound opportunities to meet the needs of our customers and our business
  • Strong negotiator and relationship builder
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proactivity, independent, self-starter, can-do/ hands-on mentality
  • Experience in the beauty, cosmetics or FMCG industry
  • Fluent in English and Dutch. French is a plus
  • This position requires frequent travelling within the Benelux
